Assistant Director

Mi Escuelita Spanish Immersion Preschool is looking for a charismatic, organized, responsible, and passionate professional to join our administrative team and support daily operations. We are looking for someone with a strong background in Early Childhood Education, classroom experience, and a genuine passion for supporting children, families, and teachers.​

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

• NC Child Care Administration certification EDU 261 + EDU 262 and experience in an administrative role

• At least 2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare or early childhood education program

• Previous classroom/teaching experience with young children

• Knowledge of child development, classroom routines, group management, and smooth transitions

• Experience or knowledge of childcare licensing, documentation, staff scheduling, and daily operations

• Fluent Spanish and proficient or fluent English

• A genuine love for working with young children and supporting teachers and families

• Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and leadership skills

• A willingness to step into the classroom and provide support when needed

 

About the Role

​

This position will work closely with the Director to support the educational quality, daily operations, licensing requirements, staff, families, and overall mission of Mi Escuelita.

​

The Assistant Director will also provide classroom support as needed, participate in curriculum development, assist with school projects and policies, and help maintain a safe, nurturing, high-quality learning environment.

​

The person selected for this position should be prepared to take on leadership responsibilities and support the school in the Director’s absence.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
